A number of members have experienced the lock up problem at different stages of loading.  The only solution I have found is to remove the battery, wait a few minutes and re-insert.  Since that doesn't seem to be working for you - you might have no choice but to take it back to Verizon.  How long have you had the phone?

Did you upgrade from V03 to V05?  I would suggest you take it back to Verizon and just be polite with them.  Explain your problem - they should take care of it.  Let us know how it goes.

Isn't that also for an external antenna Ive found those on my EnV and the VX8000 i would get bad reception in certain areas and I bought an external antenna and would plug it in and it would boost my signal not sure of the connector name though some PCMCIA wifi cards have similar looking ports. Im tempted to get an extra battery cover and trim away some for a little hole that way i can use my external antenna.

You are correct sir, it is an external antenna connection. The real internal antenna is underneath it, thats why you're not supposed to hold the phone from the base (lose reception)

Hello.  I am sure www.lge.com knows what they are talking about so they are probably the best source.  The one individual said that it is a cable connection, which means they use it or the usb connection we use to charge it with, who knows.  Generally speaking I think with electronics, such as computers, phones, pda's, etc. it is a good idea not to be curious and see what happens unless you do not mind trips to the store.  But than again not all things need trips to the store, check here first.  Here is my example:

Somehow I had my user password set so when it powered up it locked the phone.  I called Verizon and the CS Rep said to call #228 and then tried walking me through reprogramming, but when we got to the part where it said please press 1, I was unable to because the button was not pressable so I could not unlock it.  Then they transferred me to tech support who said he would research it with his team members, came back and said I needed to take it to the store and since I have VIP with Verizon that it would be free.  Well I tried typing in the number sequences one at a time trying to save a trip of 45 minutes each way (when gas was about 4) and was unable to access the code.   Then I did another search on this page and I found a section that said if I were to dial #22899 it would reprogram the code phone and put the codes back to where there were at default.  This is not right for some of course because it is valuable info, but was a lifesaver for me,  THANKS AGAIN GUYS RESPONSIBLE, U SAVED MY DAY

Might this be the button?  Tongue
And if I were to press it, what might happen? (Yes, I pressed it)
