I'm Way to upsessed with this website and the DARE

« on: August 19, 2008, 12:44:46 PM »

Step 1: First you go to Settings & Tools/Bluetooth Menu!

Step 2: You push the Turn on button at the top, you can't miss it!

Step 3: Push the main button on your bluetooth headset and hold it for like 5 seconds, this turns your bluetooth into Discoverable Mode, and while your doing that hit the add button, and then hit start! It should find your bluetooth headset and teel you the name and such!

Step 4: It will say found (Your Headset Here) and would you like to connect (Your Headset Here). You Hit yes and it will say pairing up headset!

Step 5: Now it should say connecting, and say (Your Headset Here) Connected!

Step 6: You have now connected your Bluetooth Headset to your Phone!!

Hope This Helps To the people that don't really know how to connect their headset to their Lg Dare!

Perfect!   I have 2 Plantronic handsfree earpieces and couldn't get the second one to be recognized.  Followed this post and worked perfectly.           Another thing to remember is to fully charge the device you are wanting to connect.  This way you get a strong signal for pairing.
Thanks again

...any reason my BT will not connect with my Dare?...
Can you provide us with a little more information?  Did you get a message?  Does it cut on and off?  Why is the sky blue?

Off hand I would compare profile to profile.  Most technologies are backwards compatible but that is not a 100% sure bet.

Have not got the Dare yet (still about a month to go on my NE2), but I am wondering if my Jabra BT135 that I use with my Alias will be useful?  Not the fanciest of headsets, but it meets my needs.

***okay, i put a "key" at the bottom to better understand my issue. ***

booklet says to turn device on, then hold the VOL buttons for 5 sec till it enters DM, search for it on my dare, then connect using 0000 if needed, etc. I enter the 0's, and it says Pairing for a couple minutes then goes back to the number pad with 0's already plugged in, with NO messages that pop up.

well from what i can tell, the device only stays in DM for just about 1 sec then auto switches to PM. basically what i ultimately need to know is if its the devices problem, or its my dare's problem. Or if i'm just completely doing it the wrong way.

while device is in PM, it will NOT show up on bluetooth list.

KEY:
flashing grn - Pairing Mode (PM)
flashes alternate grn&wht - Discovery Mode (DM)

ShaggyPyroPunk, is there any other bluetooth device you can try to pair with your Dare to check if the Dare is the problem? Also any other bluetooth enabled phone you can try to pair the device to to check the device? Troubleshooting is the only way you may be able to pinpoint which item has the problem.

You may also just have one of those devices that is not compatible with the phone, I would imagine it does happen.

Perhaps, if you haven't already, try putting the Dare in search mode first, then the device in discovery mode, the short time in discovery mode of the device may just register on the phone.

Good luck,

As a clock-maker on this forum, I must stress that the use of any file presented (.swf flash clock file or other), and the required use of BitPim to install on one's phone, is without recourse, is at one's own risk and that the providers of these files are making no guarantees of suitability and/or subsequent damages, etc, etc. - Simply put: download, install and use these flash clocks solely at your own risk.

I have PLN-510 which is needed to be paired with my VoIP phone(bluetooth capable). I have a problem finding the bluetooth headsets device ID, which is must(along with pass code "0000") inorder to pair the bluetooth headset with my VoIP phone.
