Typing text messages - using the WORD format (vs. ABC, or Abc, or SYMB).  The upper left key is the @ sign.  Hit it once, it's a period.  Twice, it's a colon.  Three times, it parens.  When I want to put in "!" or "?" I have to change the input format to SYMB.

Question - is there a way to reassign the @ key, to use the symbols I use most?  Like, period, ! , ?, etc.

you have to press what you want. Lets say you want to write GREAT JOB!

you first write Great job then you press @ for the period. then you press next and it will change the period to what you want

keep pressing next to change the . to , or other things

hope this helps

Actually, it works that way in ABC or Abc mode  -  not in WORD mode.  In word mode I just get the repeat of period, colon, and parens.

I'd be happy to get the continuing options if pressed, or be able to assign the three I use most.

Any one know how to do that?

Yea I never use ABC mode to text, just Word.  But now that I tried it out, at the end of a word hitting next does change the period to @, ?, !, etc.

use the symbols you use the most in word mode constantly like over and over. soon the word mode will pick up on you doing so and then assign it to be easier to reach instead of pressing next like 100 times.
