Just recently I turned my phone on and it had that flashing triangle and the ERI banner was missing. I always have the ERI banner on and I always get full bars at my house. So I have no idea why my phone is roaming, the verizon wireless ERI banner is gone. Any ideas?

Turn it off and back on. That should work.

I've tried that multiple times. No luck.

Try calling *228 and press option 2 to update the roaming and signal..  This might work...

Yeah. I thought that would work because it updates the tower locations.
Still, no luck.

Then I would contact Verizon or take it to a store and see what they have to say...  Something could have happened to your phone...

Are you in California...like specifically the LA area...like where the quakes were/are?  Some service was interrupted, but they may have that fixed by now.

Nope. Delaware.
Well I'm just gonna take it in on Saturday.
Will they give me a free replacement if it comes to that?

If they can't get it to work, then yes they will give you a new one.  I think its probably still to early for the refurbs to be hitting the stores.

Thats good. I would hate to get a refurbished one and live with it for two years. I got a refurbished voyager and it had little scratched and the paint was already wearing off the buttons. Good thing it broke. Haha. I just got the Dare after that.

Did you try to manually program it? Sounds like to me it either is not programed or one of the settings were changed somehow. Use to work for VZW and that would be the first things I would ask in this case. You will not be able to do OTA/*228 if 1: your in an actual roaming (extended network) area or 2:one of the settings have been changed to make the phone think its roaming.  Undecided
