You do not have to fully
charge the battery when you first receive the phone, although we recommend you do anyway. The Dare uses a lithium-ion battery which does not have a "memory". So you can charge the battery at any time. You do
not need to let the battery fully drain before you charge the battery. In fact, fully draining the battery frequently can damage the battery. Also, you cannot
overcharge the phone.
