PLEASE READ THIS WARNING BEFORE PROCEEDING

1.  Install the USB driver which is on the Verizon CD which came with the phone.  You DO NOT need to install Rhapsody, just the driver.

2. Go to www.bitpim.org, download BitPim - Release 1.0.6, and install it on your computer.

3. Plug your phone into the USB port on your computer.  If a sync screen appears on your phone, press the End Call key until you see your home screen.  You do not need the Sync Music/Sync Data to use BitPim.

4. Run BitPim.  It should automatically detect your phone.  Click OK when Bitpim says it has detected your phone.

5. At the top menu click View then Filesystem.

6. This will open a middle window with a folder icon. Click on the + sign to expand that folder. It might take thirty seconds to open, as it is reading your phone.  Once it is done you should see folders in the middle window like in the image below.

7. Click on the + sign next to the folder labeled Brew.

8. Click on the + sign next to the folder labeled Mod.

9. The folder labeled 10888 contains pictures.
The folder labeled 10889/ringtones contains ringtones.
The folder labeled 10890 contains videos.
The folder labeled 18067 contains voice memos.

10. In the right panel select the file(s) you want to transfer and copy them to a folder on your computer.

11. When done right click in the panel and choose reboot.  You can then exit BitPim and disconnect your Dare.
