You can only use this method if you have a memory card in the phone. 1. Make sure the media is on the memory card. If the media is stored on the phone's internal memory, you need to transfer the media to the memory card - Settings & Tools ► Memory ► Phone Memory ► select appropriate category (My Pictures, My Videos, My Music, or My Sounds) ► Move ► check mark the item(s) to transfer ► Done ► Yes
2. Turn the phone off, take the memory card out of the phone, and insert it into the media card reader on your computer.
3. Open the media card drive and you should see five folders - media, my_flix, my_music, my_pix, my_sounds.
- media = system folder created by the phone but not used.
- my_flix = movies/videos. FYI - the Dare naming convention for videos is - monthdayyeartime. So a video shot at 10:15am on September 7, 2008 would be named 0907081015.3g2
- my_music = music
- my_pix = pictures
- my_sounds = voice memo recordings
4. Select the file(s) you want to transfer and then cut/copy them to a folder on your computer
5. Take the memory card out of the reader and insert it back into the phone.
