First off love.LOVE my new dare. I was previously a voyager owner and this has been a nice transition. It's like they listened to our list of "wants" and delivered....so far. Anyhow I just dowloaded GALAGA on my dare. It was the traditional looking game except it came with a "touch" joystick type thing to move and another "touch" button to shoot. Graphics were good but touch button functionality was sketch at best. Most of the time it would not shoot and move at the same time.(you kinda need that option in this game) I was not happy and ended up deleting the game and reporting it to verizon to have the charges taken off. I'm posting to save someone else the hassle of 10 lost minutes of their life.

Galaga
overall rating 1 out of 10. it would be a 8 if the keypad worked!

Tetris for the Dare.
controls utilize touch interface perfectly. It's fun and easy to play. I love this game for the Dare, i have not found any problems with it so far.

9/10*s I highly recommend this game for this phone!

Kind of disapointing that the games arent capable of using the 3 actuall buttons on the phone to lessen some of the stingy touch controls the games are using.

-Wheel of Fortune Deluxe-
A wheel of fortune game, interface is easy to use, gameplay is fun, and decent options. The touch controls work perfectly with the simple interface.   8/10

-God of War Betrayal-
Havent been able to get far into this game either because of the controls or sloppy interface. Control layout on bottom of screen detracts from experiance.  6/10

-Might and Magic 2-
Good graphics, decent sound, and moderate depth. The touch controls provide misteps and take some getting used to, but are not terrible. You touch on the screen in the direction you would like to move, and click on your character to slash your weapon. Menu interface is cumbersome.  7/10

who wants to be a millionaire?

8/10

interface works great, only reason its not a 10 its because the questions can get repetitive....fun game if you want some trivia while in the bathroom or bored

Downloaded Bejeweled for the Dare yesterday...

... seems to work fairly well on the Dare.  You don't always have to push two jewels, if you don't want to... rather, you can push down on one jewel and drag your finger across the other jewel that you'd like to swap places with.  Graphics are fine, as well.  Overall, still a solid playing game on the Dare.

Brick Breaker for the dare is pretty fun.  Accidently hit the menu button sometimes when sliding the paddle to the far right but the motion is smooth graphics are good and the sound is ok. It has some new ways to break bricks compared to other versions I have played. I give it a 8/10

Have gotten several more games onto my Dare and after playing them all evenly for a bit have come to some conclusions. Going to add my previous game thoughts as well into this post.

-Monopoly: Here and Now-
This is the same old Monopoly everyone knows and loves and never finishes in real life. The menus are simple, the presentation is surprisingly spiffy and clean, all of the pieces and locations have been updated to reflect the modern times which is nice. The AI is fairly good and there is an option to play multiplayer by handing the phone around. Only thing I do not like is that when you roll the dice, there is no button, you must actually shake the phone, and I am weary that that is actually bad for the phone. Overall good game. 8/10

-Tetris-
Same old Tetris, simple interface and graphics, few modes of play. Controls are simple but might become hectic when pace picks up. Decent game. 7/10

-Big Range Hunting 3D-
A good surprise in this title, the game is in full 3D, hence the title, and looks very good for a cell phone game IMO. Looks similar to an older PSOne game, and though it looks great, the biggest surprise are the controls arent terrible, in fact, they are pretty good imo. You simple drag down the screen to move forward, you can strafe, crouch, aim down the sights and drive vehicles, though the vehicles are the only sore spot in the controls, they move to fast. You have several modes of play, career being the main draw, you have the tools, deer calls and so forth. You can go into the shop and purchase extra weapons, even an RPG (?!) You hunt, deer, birds, bears, and so on. Surprise game. Also, the game doesnt tell you this (that i could find) but the Action button, which is for shooting and other features is the Camera button on the Dare.  8/10

-The Oregon Trail-
A classic reinvented, a good game that allows you to choose a carriage, your profession and allows you to participate in various mini games while you move to the west. Various choices pop up that adds some decent surprises to the game. Doesn't seem very difficult and the various mini games all have some hitches in there controls. I did seem to find a bug which hampens the menu interface in the beginning of the game, with the text not changing for the various options they give you, having to make me choose an option, then press back to see the related text show up for the other options. 7/10

It would be great if you could record some of the games and put it on youtube, especially that hunting game!

Sonic the Hedgehog:

Graphics and fps are the same as on the old Sega Genesis.  Near-perfect port of the game to the phone.  Controls use a d-pad and an action button.  It might take a while to get accustomed with using the touch-screen controller, but I found the response to be excellent.  The only drawback is that you cannot press jump while running; instead, the user must release run, press jump, and then press the run button again.  This did not seem to affect gameplay to any great extent whatsoever.  Sound was loud, clear and crisp.  The game has plenty of options, even allowing you to start on whatever level you like.

Graphics - 9/10
Sound - 10/10
Gameplay - 7/10
Presentation - 9/10
Longevity - 5/10

Overall - 8/10 [Excellent]

Chess

10/10

Great app for a chess game (but then again it's pretty hard to eff it up) - it is VERY VERY VERY tough however even on beginner level 1 -

For those of you who are really into it though you can even choose which opening the computer will do against you.

Fun/ Challenging game - keep your mind sharp

Critter Crunch ...

Just downloaded it for "the kids".  I personally am on Level 26!  Interface is a D-pad and, as a touchscreen, can be ... well ... touchy!  I've lost a few levels because my finger had strayed from the "button's" location and I wasn't able to move quite fast enough.  Nice thing though ... when you lose a level you are able to restart at that level (don't have to start from the beginning).  I would rate it 9/10.

Oregon Trail ...

Can't personally rate it because I've not played it ... but my kids (7 and 9) have spent probably hours playing it at this point.  Every time we get in the car it's "Mommy, can I play with your phone?"

Bejeweled ...

Standard game.  If you like it on the computer you will like it here.  Bejeweled on a standard phone is cumbersome ... Bejeweled on a touch screen is awesome!
