I have the one that came with the phone and that is great for home but I want a second USB cable for my PC at work to charge and move vids/tunes around.

I think the lady at the VW store said they don't just sell the USB cable......

Anyone know where to get one?

i would try any local electronic stores like Circuit City, Best Buy, Radioshack etc. But if they don't have it, eBay has everything.

do a Google for it, found some very reasonable priced ones from a few sites.  Didn't see them on the Verizon site though, interesting.  Wonder why Verizon dosent sell em.

Glad to see that I am not the only one who believes you can't have enough cables and chargers.  I strll have cables galore from my Moto days.  I now have two cables for the Dare and will get the charging cable for the car.  I am wondering about the car though.  There is the warning about making calls while charging.  I never understood that fully as all my Motorolas at least were fully function while charging.  I always kept it on the charger while commuting so that I would get to work with a full charge.

I second the eBay suggestion.  This store has what your looking for for just under $6 with free shipping:  http://stores.ebay.com/360wireless

I've ordered their silicon case, the car charger, & their screen protector for the Dare.  They shipped fast, but I've only used the case at this point.

PS: The USB cable that you'll find on the aforementioned site appears to be quite short.  Looking at the OEM cable that came with the Dare, which is about 4', the $6 cable looks to be about 3'.

Oh, it's not the speed really so much.
I just wish I hadn't drunk all that cough syrup this morning.

BestBuy has a USB to MINI USB cable with a MICRO USB adapter made by RocketFish. The cable isn't terribly long but it charges and transfers. beware some cables dont charge.... 15 bucks

This person on ebay is selling them for $3.44 shipped. Don't know how he can do that and make any money on them.

OEM Motorola USB cables with shipping for around $5.88 for 1, $4.42 each for 2, $3.95 each for 3, $3.30 for 10, etc.  through CCMACCESSORIES via Amazon.

FYI - Motorola RAZR2 V8 V9 V9M Q9h chargers and cables work on the dare. You can buy sharp oem motorola car chargers on amazon for around $7 also.

The OEM is for the most part made overseas..for pennies on the dollar.  Most of the retail price is for overhead expenses.  Without a bricks and mortar operation the Ebay or Amazon seller eliminates the major factor is setting price to realize a reasonable GPM.

Every item sold in a store has to have sufficient mark up to pay for everybody in the store, the building lease, the lights and phone and and and....

ive talked while chargeing. its never done any noticeable damage. and wouldnt that be the same as doing anything while chargeing (ie..surfing the web, listening to music, etc...)  although with the car charger i got from verizon is too short to be able to talk while chaqrgeing

same with my old Moto car charger...they must figure that the power connection is planted in your shoulder or jacked into your ear...only way I could use the phone while it was on the car charger was Bluetooth...which is just as well...required by law now..headset, not necessarily BT...
