This works in IE7, not sure about other browsers.  If you hover over the member's name it will show you their member number in the bottom left toolbar.  Its the last portion of the address (u=xxxx)

you realize out of the 539 pages of members you have there are only 77.5 pages of members that have even one post? that means there are about 410 members that have ever even posted  Shocked, my board is pretty similar, our numbers jumped recently because we finally made our wallpapers section members only, which I think your guys has been that way from the begining, which means the bulk of our two boards members just join to get at the free stuff we have made  Cry with out ever contributing anything but another number to our members lists.

That might be the case but until you can track how Topics were viewed - the number means absolutely nothing.  Why?  I've been on hundred's of boards over the years.  I log in to get access and then I find the information I'm looking for and never leave a message.   Heck, just the amount of time I've been on LG-Dare - I can't tell you how many times I jump over to other boards looking for a solution and never ever leaving a post.  It is the page hits that provide you with better statistics.   Wow - almost sounds like I know what I'm talking about!

that is true what you say, on my board you can see the individual hits to the threads, but it just means more people are taking from the forum than contributing to it, kinda of like leaches, just sucking away the info, or the work and never leaving anything of use  Cry

The point of the forum is to share knowledge and learn from each other. I see no problem with more people learning than those contributing. As people learn more they may be able to contribute more. This forum does a nice job of preventing repeat threads and useless jabber, as well. Each worthwhile thread becomes a sort of mini-FAQ in itself. There is such a great number of capable users that bring so much to the table that I do not think there is a problem with "info suckers" on LG-Dare.com.

true that is part of what the forum is for, but it is also a community as well, which means there should still be some giving as well. The only reason a large number of the non posters signed up was to get at your wallpapers, other than that there is no reason to sign up because you can read all the forum info with out registering. Before I decided to register for an account I used to browse your forums pretty regularly just to see what was new with the dare, Like when you got espn mvp I knew it wouldn't be long until my voyager got an update so I could use it on the front screen Smiley
