Introduction...

This is meant as a fun, simple game to recognize a helpful member of the community. Each week, a member of the community will be selected by the Pro Members as the Member Of The Week. Each week, the Pro Members will nominate, and then all members will be able to vote for the member that they feel has been the "best" member of the week. Factors to look for when voting for MOTW may be helpfulness, overall activity, etc. The nomination period will run from Sunday through Tuesday. The voting period will take place from Wednesday through Saturday.

Rules...

  • Each Pro Member may nominate TWO members each week.
  • Regular Members may nominate ONE member each week.
  • ALL members (Pro and Regular) are eligible.
  • You can not nominate yourself.
  • Staff members are eligible for nomination.

If You Win...

  • Winners will be notified via Private Message.
  • Winners will have a user title of "MEMBER OF THE WEEK" for the following week.
  • Winners will receive 5 cookies.

Asking for help is in itself helpful for others.  Those that can assist and respond are giving that aid not only to you but to others who can benefit but for whatever reason did not post.  When researching for a response, one can find new and wondrous things that they might have overlooked otherwise.  Asking for help aids us all.

It is afterall what a forum is set up to do.

Well the first MOTW contest is officially over! Congratulations to Wootstapler and Rio for winning this week's contest in a TIE!! Nice job guys. For next week's contest, we will be opening up the voting to ALL members. The Pro Members will still nominate, but EVERYONE will be able to cast a vote.

Yes, voting has been open to all members for a few weeks now. Starting next week, I will open up nominations to all members as well.
