DARE KICKS ASS

« on: November 18, 2008, 10:27:27 PM »

OK... I looked around and i cannot find a solution to this
I had my phone working perfectly on Windows XP but i recently switched to Vista64
My main problem is that i plugged the phone in before i installed the drivers......So i tried it anyway...
I installed the drivers and I CANT GET MY PHONE TO CONNECT to my computer!!!
I tried installing it on another computer running Vista64 with correct order and same problem

I get these messages
ON Computer: USB Device not Recognized
Phone: Connection Failed Check Cable Connection (after selecting USB Mass Storage)

If anybody knows how to completely uninstall all the vista drivers let me know!!
or if anyone knows of a solution to this please let me know..

THANKS IN ADVANCE

http://www.lg-dare.com/index.php?topic=4224.0  try this link.  i have vista as well. if you install the cd, wether or not you have already pluged the phone in, and follow the steps mentioned in this link. you should have no problem connecting your phone to your pc.

Well i kinda of solved my problem....here is what it did

completely disconnected my phone and turned it off
installed verizon access with drivers
Restarted my computer
connected USB cable with phone off
turned phone on (then let windows recognize it)
Select USB mode on Phone again let windows recognize it...
it came up with an error...reset phone...select USB...and
AUTO PLAY SHOWS UP!!!!

NOTE: I did this with a different cable than the one i was using (which could have been my problem BUT..)
my old cable still works in windows XP  WIERD Sad
