Can't see playing for the app when you can get weather data from multiple sites online with the VPak.

It's a cool app with alot of weather info, alot of info no one really needs besides the normal web weather. A shame it costs so much for such a novelty.

www.localwireless.com is the best weather site you will find. and it is 99% free. you gotta pay for mobile web. if you do its completely free after the vcast charge

I d/led the Mycast weather app. The best feature, and the reason I'll keep it, is the weather alerts. I'm a technician for Comcast and while we'll work on lines during snow, rain and reasonable winds we NEVER go near a telephone pole if there's lightning. Or even the chance of it. The app notifies me of lightning strikes in or near my city, along with other weather alerts.

I can just check via VZ navigator or a website. But I like the alert feature. And they're not a simple txt msg either.

The weather radar of Ike off of Galveston was awesome.  Showed the eye of the storm.  I feel for the people living anywhere near that storm's landfall.  Localwireless is an outstanding site for a mobile phone.  I can see where for individuals with an absolute need for precise weather info would pay for Mycast 5. Not a need for me.
