another thing i like googke maps over vznav is that google maps shows city names on the map. vznav doesnt. i can drive up to and over 400 miles a day. sometimes vznav gives you directions you dont want to take. you can get a detour but it gives you more directions you dont want. google maps shows city names and that helps me better orient myself. google maps is tons easier to use in my opinion. even with out the gps part

I found with Nav that once you take a different route while on the suggested route it will recalculate based upon where you go.

I don't find not having intermediate cities that much of a problem. I know where I started and I know where I want to go.

One thing I noticed during a trial of Navigator however is that it can be awfully stupid in other ways.

Local searches are programmed inaccurately. If you want to check out for example for an event/concert it will search the database. In my case it turned up a concert in Florida!!

Rather a long distance to drive being I am in Northern California. I couldn't figure out why it would have done this. I had the program give me driving directions.

My home town has a street named the same as the one in Florida. So although the event information is correct it is wrong as to location when giving directions.

It's a shame that we don't have more usable apps for this phone.

i have it set to detour around toll roads but it will still direct me to the turnpike. i dont want the turnpike. so i try the reroute or the detour road. it puts me back on the turnpike. i make multiple stops during the day, and travel nearly half of texas. (not in one day of course, but thats our service area) so seeing where one city is compared to another is a great help to me.

What apps would make happy? What are some really must have apps? please describe as I only find my calendar, notepad and calculator truly useful. I also love this camera/video recorder and the GPS is great. What is out there on the other phones that would change my world?
