speaking from a musician's perspective, this is probably pretty useless for the price.  if you're carring around a guitar you should have a tuner with you anyway.  i agree with whoever said it, that if this were free it'd be cool but for $20 i dont think so
Free-cool
20$-not cool
Mostly because i doubt the accuracy of the tuner because of the microphone is maybe not designed for this.

I would say give it a shot if you find to be in dire need of one - like i said before, i tuned my buddies guitar in less than a minute (and it was pretty tweaked)

I just wanted to say that I'm a singer songwriter, and I often play shows away from stages ( think parties, and fire circles), and I've been waiting for this app since I got this phone. I did purchase the app ( rather than the monthly subscription) because the fact is that tuners are way more than $20, and always too heavy to throw into a gig bag. Anyway, I got to a party the other night, and an opportunity came to bust out the new app, and not only did it perform admirably in the moddle of a noisy scene ( SOOOOO IMPORTANT!!) but it was also the hit of the party.

Some of y'all may not be musicians in need of this app, but for those of us who are, it's a god send. Hope you get it, use it, and love it.

So overpriced.  I doubt it's extremely accurate.

I think what it comes down to is convenience. Having a guitar tuner on your phone (which will you will most likely have with you at all times) is convenient. For that reason, Verizon feels they can charge a decent amount for the app and people will still buy it for the convenience.

Actually, it is extremely accurate.  Finally had a chance to use over the last couple of days and it impressed the heck out of me.  More accurate than most of the $20 tuners I've had through the years.  Stable and easy to use, too.

I don't really like the price either, but I think you guys who complain about Verizon's pricing on these things are pretty clueless.  These are third party apps.  Verizon is the virtual store for these things, not the developer, and it's the developer that has primary control over pricing.  Verizon just sticks them on the shelf.

I believe it is only specific to guitar, but it also displays the note being played, so you could tune anything as long as you know what to tune it to.

a better way is to record a tuned guitar and then add it to your sounds on the phone....can store many different tunings Kiss
