So I checked the new software update on my phone and I keep getting a message that says "server unavailable  Software download will automatically re-start later" this never happens, is verizon putting a new one on the phone?  And I currently have V03 and Verizon.

Well, considering the software update feature on the phone has NEVER worked, I don't know what to tell you.  The only way to update your software (firmware) is to take your phone to a Verizon store.

I guess I wasn't clear initially.  The software update feature DOESN'T WORK.  NEVER HAS.  PROBABLY NEVER WILL.
You need to physically take your phone to a Verizon store if you want to get it updated.  The current version is 6.

OK - I searched the net and some users are getting a "text message" with that information?  Are you getting a "text message?"

Also, you metioned you are running V03 - you really should upgrade to V06.

Pull the battery, restart the phone. Let us know if you get the same message. And get the newest firmware update, v06

Great!  At least it no longer says server unavailable Software download will automatically re-start later.
Now, if you want to prevent it from even saying no software available - QUIT CHECKING IT!

Interestingly enough, after reading this post I tried the software update on my phone (I'm with Telus) even though I knew it wouldn't work.
The error message has changed however, it used to tell me something along the lines of "unable to connect" or "server unavailable", and now I get the error message of "Credentials wrong".
hmmmm...

Mine has said "Credentials Wrong" since day one of owning it back in December...(Telus also)...

Oh it takes a lot more than that to get me excited, just ask my wife!

I was just adding to the oddness of your changing error messages... Wink
