rizzutoj was kind enough to provide the Manual he found on the net (didn't come with his Telus Dare).   Their are a few sections that specifically mention Telus.  I really haven't compared it to the normal LG Dare Manual - maybe others will catch some differences and let us know.


Finally found it!  The file is located on the LG Consumer WebSite.  I included the procedures (if you are interested).  The file above is the same one (below).

1.  Select SUPPORT
2.  Select OWNER'S MANUALS
3.  Select Product Group: - Mobile Communications
4.  Select Product: - CDMA Mobile Phones
5.  Model: 9700
6.  Window Opens - Select LGCX9700 (Telus Manual)
7.  Select CX9700_Eng_081125_1.pdf

This is getting more ridiculous by the min. I just received my Dare three days ago and that manual was not included. It came with a simple get started guide.

I called LG Canada and they said a full manual did not exist. That manual you posted a link to is not on Telus's site.

So when did rizzutoj get his Dare? What format did that manual come with his phone, on disk or booklet or something else. How long has he had it?

I need to get the full story so I can call Telus and have my facts straight when I ask for the manual they say doesn't exist but clearly does.

Thanks for the clarification. Your original post was misleading. You said the manual came with his phone.

If he got it from LG Canada's web site that makes sense. it probably just became available. I called a little over a week ago and was told the manual did not exist yet. They gave some story about it taking time to translate.

Do you think if i do this, and have to return the phone for some reason.. will they accept it? (the fact that i just hacked into it and got free ringtones)

I noticed this is your first post - Welcome Aboard ashalqueza!

This thread deals with the Telus Dare Manual.  You mentioned "hacked" so I assume you are talking about something else.

At any rate - you mentioned if you had to return the phone for some reason.. will they accept it?  All I can say is Verizon (and other companies) don't support "hacking."  If for some reason the Service Representative feels you did something to the Phone - I'm sure they could say they aren't responsible and you are - no exchange!
