My LG dare touch screen doesnt respond. As you see in the attached picture, it has a wet like spot. I believe this is the problem but not sure what it is. Can you experts tell me if there is a way to repair this or do I need a new touch screen? If it requires a new touch screen, can you tell me how to remove it. I can disassemble it per youtube video, but not sure how to remove the digitizer from the front frame. Appreciate your help. Please see the picture below.

I took the phone apart and the LCD screen is fine. I can still see the wet like patch on the digitizer. Either something got in between the digitizer layers (assuming it has multiple layers) or collapsed in this area. LCD screen look perfect and works perfect. Thanks for the response anyway.

I think the layers are collapsed making it look like a wet patch. I used a little suction cup and gently pulled the screen at the problem location few times and now the screen is working again. Not sure how long it would last, but the screen is fixed for now.

My screen looks almost identical to the one pictured.  Even so, it was working fine until a couple of days ago when I lost all touch function.  First, I attempted to clean along the edges of the screen with a toothpick. My phone was cleaner, but no touch function restored.  Second, I used a piece of tape over the distorted part of my screen.  I carefully placed and lifted the tape several times over this area.  No luck.  But finally, I inspected the screen as closely as I could for any areas where the screen was depressed.  I could see that the upper left corner of the screen appeared slightly indented.  I used the same piece of tape over this area a couple of times and Voilą, MY PHONE IS WORKING PERFECTLY!
