FYI I just downloaded the new VZ Navigator update.  It takes it to version 5.1.0.  From what I can see it is a complete overhaul as everything looks completely different.  I noticed that once I was in a map the phone was slower to respond, but the map was much more TomTom or Garmin like.

To get it go to Media Center, Browse and Download and then Download this.

Yes i have the same problem with it on my dare, says no gps and also the follow me freezes up and shows me a mile away from the spot iam at all the time.gps dont work at all for any of the mapping and now it shows me in central park n.y. at start up?? 1300 miles from me?verizon tech. help dont help he had to call the people who do the programing and they said the towers are not even updated for the 5.0.0 yet so the 5.1.0 falls into the same thing.

The biggest problem for me with this version is the mileage to the next turn used to be in a nice large font prominently displayed near the top of the screen.  I need reading glasses to see, and don't normally wear them while driving.  Now I can't tell how many miles to the next turn.  This is a major disappointment.  I also agree the overall look is more "garmin" like, but I don't think this is a good thing.  The whole experience seems to be more cluttered and awkward now.

Anyone know if I can downgrade this to the previous version?  At least Verizon doesn't seem to require you to use the latest release...
