I know if you download the Nav, buy it, then do the BitPim stuff than stop paying for it, it will work forever for free. Now my question is can someone that did that Upload it, and me do all that and it still work? Anyone know if this is plausible?

I know I'm not answering your question, but what do you mean by Bitpim stuff? Is there way to use VZNav for free?  Can you explain that? I just got the phone so I'm still learning a lot of stuff about the phone. Thanks.

Yeah I guess once you think about it, it definitely wouldn't work.

yea BREW files whether its games or applications have codes writen directly into the application when you download them that has your ESN number and MIN number so it only works on the phone that matches the ESN and MIN.

what if you edit the code to include your phones ESN and MIN code?

Even if you could use global find and replace techniques to replace every instance of "my" ESN and MIN in an app I copy and provide to you, with your own, it would still not be accepted at the provider end.  For example VZNav at the provider (and processing) side would know that no copy had been d/l bearing that (your) ESN and MIN.  Follow the logic?  Brew is virtually unbrakeable.

Haha you are straight to the point, but no I don't think anyone will be doing that (if you are referring to how to get it illegally).  If you are wondering how to just download the app, I seem to remember it being in the main menu; just start it up and it should update itself and be ready to roll.
